Summary — English
The Shri Siddhalakshmi Stotram is a hymn to the goddess Lakshmi whose opening sets out its sage (Hiranyagarbha), metre (Anushtup), deities (Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati), seed (Shrim), power (Hrim) and peg (Klim), with its application being the removal of afflictions, the destruction of sorrow and poverty, and the accomplishment of all undertakings. It prescribes nyasas on the head, mouth, heart, secret place, feet, navel and limbs, and a meditation on the six-armed, four-faced, three-eyed goddess holding sword, trident, lotus, discus and mace, wearing yellow garments and adorned with ornaments. The hymn itself praises Lakshmi under the syllables Om, Hrim, Klim and Shrim and under names including Siddhalakshmi, Mokshalakshmi, Adyalakshmi, Kamala, Ashtalakshmi and Narayani, and lists forms such as Tryambaka, Vaishnavi, Katyayani, Varahi and Hamsavahini. It states that those who recite it are freed from all calamities, and that one who recites it three times a day for one to six months is freed from sins of former births, while the poor obtain Lakshmi and the childless become one with children. The text says the hymn was composed by Ishvara, and it closes with a prayer that Lakshmi dwell forever in the reciter's house.

Prayer: May that Lakshmi who dwells in the lotus forest, on the summit of the kadamba tree, in the royal palace, on the elephant, on the white horse, on the bull, in the pair, in the sacrifice, at the sacrificial post, in the conch, in the temple of the gods, in the king's palace, on the bank of the Ganga, and in Gokula — may that Lakshmi always dwell in my house and remain forever steadfast.
